I definitely get what you are saying. However in other sports players have to play while dealing with student sections chanting and saying things non stop. People don't seem to be bothered by that. In baseball you don't see rowdy student sections though lol so usually the chatter from the dug out is the best you can get. So I'm curious why people would feel that shouldn't happen in baseball? I love baseball it was my second favorite sport...

One of those athletes you listed and possibly more. I believe has something that has helped keep him so healthy and physically dominate all these years. But the NBA has always been smart at making sure their stars are protected and not letting things get out to hurt their stars like say baseball did. However that's for a whole other thread. :D

I wish the Bengals would cut Lafell and Michael Johnson and try to get Bryant on a 2 year deal. With that said he seems like a wr that will end up with the Ravens if he doesn't go back to the nfc East.

I don't think be is a shell of his self. The offense shifted a lot the last few years. They became a team focused on running the ball. They also have a qb is more of a conservative qb now than with Romo. Not willing to try to force it in or fit into tight windows as Romo would have. They have a qb who will hand it off or play action and find the TE. Add in injuries and all that has played a part. Depending where he ends up and ends up...

Did you realize Kentucky is one of the worst funded states in the country and now they wanted to cut more. But hey I get it. Also you say teachers didn't propose anything else. Teachers over the last 6 months proposed a few different things to the government on what could be done. You may want to spend some time researching before commenting. Also you may want to spend time looking at numbers. Seeing in terms of teacher pensions. With...

I'm sure he does really want to go. Most kids would want to go if they could go make millions in just a few more months. With that said just because he may want to go, doesn't mean he will. In his mind he may believe he will show out during the draft process. When in reality he probably will find out he would be lucky to even get drafted this year.

Wrong. I can't comment on police and other people's pensions. However teachers pensions was and still is sustainable. The only reason and I repeat the only reason why it fell behind is the state took money from it and promised to pay it back and didn't. If the state never took money from it, it would still be fully funded. In fact as of 2003 it was 125% funded meaning it was even more funded than it needed to be. Which is why the state...

Well that sucks. I thought he made a nice jump from his freshman to sophomore year and if he did that again he could have been a big contributer. I wonder if he knows that Vanderbilt and Gabriel are staying.

Agreed and if any and all of that is not true and it's just a player overexaggerating things. Then that is not fair to the coach that, that rap about him may stay around for years or even cost him his job. So you nor I know the truth. What we do know is somehow things aren't as bad now, and apparently the kid isn't complaining as much. All this coming at the same time that they got outside and he got a chance to prove himself more. It's...

Sounds to me like some people overreacted and took something a kid said as fact. Based off everything said the player had been a starter. New coach comes in and has a clean slate for everyone. Meaning just because you started last year doesn't mean you automatically start this year. You have to earn your spot every day, every year. Sounds like this player maybe wasn't performing that well early with the new coach and others were performing...

Btw you do realize one reason why they allowed sick days to roll over. Giving teachers incentive to be at school even while sick. Saved schools money by not having to pay for a sub. Teachers are around germs all day with 20 to 30 kids who get sick. So teachers must more acceptable to getting sick. Yet this gave teachers more reason to be in even while sick. Not to mention teachers need their sick days when having a baby. It's not like they...

Become a teacher then and see how much you like it. Or if you could even be asked back for a second year.

Everything you say is all good. Except for the fact that it would have been sustained if the state didn't take money from it. At least in terms of teachers retirement, it was very sustainable until the state took money out of it that was promised to be put back. So yes now it sucks to get out of it, the state's taxpayers would suffer. Which is not fair to them either. So teachers and all people shouldn't suffer from the state's corrupt ways. The...

All those things you stated is why teachers deal with not making much money. For being in debt because of it being mandatory to get at least a master's. A teacher can be a great teacher but doesn't mean they ever would get a raise for a job well done no matter how good they do or for how long. To get a decent jump in salary you have to then pay money to get another masters to get that raise. Teachers probably work longer hours than majority of...

That is what is different about being a teacher. And why you shouldn't say they can easily be replaced. Imo it's kind of sad that basically you would be fine with anyone replacing teachers to teach our kids. America is in bad shape if you feel like teachers can easily be replaced and kids still get a good education.

So I been reading a lot of your comments. Have you taught before? So unless you have you really have no idea, so can't act like you know. To be fair if someone doesn't work in the private sector they wouldn't know. However the comment I found most hilarious is you saying teachers can easily be replaced. Who do you want to replace them? So you basically trust anyone and everyone to be able to handle 20 to 30 kids and getting them to behave,...

So basically on average UNC plays one more true road game a year? Hmmm so not exactly sure what this discussion is even about.

Exactly. Next year they play Duke, UNC, UL,and and a big 12 team. So home, away, neutral either way games like that is preparing them. More so than a lot of teams non conference schedules.

How many true scheduled road games in non conference does Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc play? Obviously all those teams including UK play a true road game every other year in the ACC/Big 10 challenge and the Sec/Big 12 challenge. But besides those games what all true road non conference games do those teams play? UK also every other year has a true road game at UL. So compared to the other top programs, how many true road non conference games do...

Well if UK played in it they may have had 2 or 3 more losses. So after that 4 game losing streak in February they really may have been on the bubble. I agree with Cal not doing that torunament this past season with such a young team. Now this coming season since they may have a lot back it would be a good time for a tourny. However they already have non conference games next year against Duke, UNC, UL, and whoever they pick from the big 12....

That is the thing Green was impressive in high school. Enough to where all the elite schools wanted him. Green will end up having a great career at UK imo, and Tandy will have a good career too wherever he ends up.

I think Quickley will start and he will use Green like he did this year. As a guy who could possibly bring a spark off the bench and come in ready to create and hit some shots while playing tough defense. Quickley and Johnson will be the starting guards, and possibly Herro too depending on who stays.

Exactly! Tandy will be a good player IMO, but we just don't know how great until he gets to college. Green in high school was regarded as being better than what Tandy is now. Tandy will have a good career, and so will Green. IMO he seems like the type of kid who will work to make sure he ends up being very good, and obviously not afraid to take big shots. Even if they didn't go in a lot of times this year lol.
