  1. Again, the topic is Caldwell Co. not Marty. I don't think it is fair for you to throw out accusations that affect Marty's family and players. Even if he did interview why do you find it necessary to tell everyone? What are your motives? Fletch you give info that i would think doesn't even fit this post. Also, with that kind of information you are providing you had better be able to back it up according to the BGP rules. How do you know the Marty interviewed at Hopkinsville and then pulled his name out? I hope the Guru will request you to provide some hard evidence of your claim! :irked:
  2. I'm referring to anyone on here attempting to get in a cheap shot at Marty. Who cares about Dunbar or how long he was there. The topic is Caldwell. I believe you and a few others like to get on here and hide behind the mask and use certain topics to take cheap shots. I think speculating on a coaches job is against the rules. Maybe i am wrong but it seems to me like yourself, ckyfootball and ptowndude are trying to take some weak jabs at Jaggers. He's probably forgot more football than 90% of the people (that think they know what they are talking about) on this site will ever know.
  3. It is obvious when someone is jealous of another (blackshirts). Appreciate the kind of coach Marty is! He is one of the best in the state. So stop trying to pick at him. The folks at Mercer know it and they will understand that when someone is as good as Marty he will be contacted quite often by schools hoping to lure him away. Take a look at Marty's head coaching record. He is a winner. Look at what Danville did while he was there. Who ever you are just get over the fact that you have issues with him that you aren't man enough to take up face to face. This topic was about the Caldwell job; not rumors about Marty Jaggers. Leave the man alone. :madman:
  4. Many schools could be good if they had all of the above mentioned elements.
  5. Wayne Stevens from Rowan County. Over 4,000 yards in his career; 55 TD's and over 600 receiving. He still has another year. He is only a junior.
  6. No doubt that Bourbon County was the biggest in my 20 years of watching high school football. They had some players but no one expected the 4th place team in the region with Danville, Boyle, Lex. Cath, Harrison to go past even the first round. It was a surprise they even made the playoffs. They won the first playoff game at Somerset in overtime had to beat Boyle at their place and beat Lex. Cath the following week; then they knocked off Lawrence in the semi-finals. What a thrill it must have been for those players and coaches and parents. :dancingpa :dancingpa
  7. Not a whole lot. I appreciate you helping me out on that info. Where is Chuke Williams now a days?
  8. Great point. Especially the basketball comparison!
  9. Different guy. He was there for the '04 season. This is a new coach for '05. The '04 coach took the Jackson job.
  10. Often the adminstrators don't have a clue of what it takes to win or build a winner. All they want is for everyone to be happy, which is impossible until the coach has a chance to build and establish his program and expectations etc. Sometimes the coach just doesn't see any light at the end of the tunnel and decides to move on.
  11. I think most coaches probably see 6 classes as a way to promote more participation in the sport.
  12. Nope. I am looking at the entire state as a whole! I am not trying whine about anything as you seem to imply. I am discussing a legitimate topic that is big in the high shcool football world at this time.
  13. I bet all of us will lose a lot of sleep based on how other states view our high school state title format (lol). Football has come a long way in the bluegrass state in the past 15 years. I bet Tennessee respects our high school football much more now than 15 years ago. The idea is to promote high school football. Someone pointed out that coaches or players won't work any less hard due to a change. I also bet the two additional high schools fans won't boycot the state title trophy either. Heck they might also come to all the additional playoff games.
