  1. Proud to be a LION! step 1 down, now celebrate, forget, and prepare for the next one! Bring it home boys!
  2. from someone who has experience the environment at Greenup CO., I will say that they do have great athletes and great facilities. Now, the bad parts, tough to compete with baseball, and cheer-leading, lots of "folks" with "input" into how the "program" should be "run", and let us not forget, the level of commitment from the kids involved may not be what it should be. I think you could list all of the coaches that have roamed the sidelines at Greenup for both the boys and the girls and you will find, most of those coaches have had some success elsewhere, so the question remains why not Greenup? I truly believe that it is an oddity in the since that they SHOULD be a contender every year, yet no one has figured out how to make that happen. The former coaches there (basketball, football, etc..) have tried to figure it out and have come from all sorts of backgrounds in coaching and yet, still left scratching their heads. I cannot and will not believe that all of these coaches were just "bad" coaches! I cannot believe that all of the kids that came through the program were "bad" kids! Check the records of the former coaches in basketball and football who have moved on from Greenup Co., I think you will find that they all have experienced success after. So with all of this being said, my question is what is the true reason for the lack of success in Greenup Co? Any intelligent answers would be greatly appreciated by all I am sure.
  3. From all the fans of a great man who truly loved this sport, your fight with cancer is now over, and you now have truly won! Keep us all a spot close to God's home court Louis.
  4. should be an exciting year. New coach and a couple of new additions. Look for Lady Musketeers to turn some heads this season!
  5. How about Greg Adkins from Elliott Co. Proven winner and was a huge part of the development at Elliott Co. He spent a ton of time with the feeder system I would think with the athletes at Greenup Co. he would be highly successful.
  6. So where will the job changes be this off season?
  7. Case is being appealed. With past rulings from KHSAA you never know how this will end up. I hope for the athlete that the final decision is made soon.
  8. This is the group that Morgan has been waiting on. They have been building for this season for quite some time. Looks like they are starting to arrive in West Liberty.
  9. Troy Lee Thomas is the New Coach at Bath Co. Congrats Troy and best of luck!
  10. It is AMAZING that you are shocked that Troy Lee is coaching anywhere! His time at Rowan Co. turned into how many region championships for that program? In the coaching world you will find that sometimes you can't be friends with everyone. People that you think are your friends quickly turn on you when little "Tommy or Suzie" doesn't get the playing time that mom and dad thinks they should. Then all of a sudden there is someone in their ear telling them how "if they were the coach how things would change", Troy Lee is only guilty of one thing and that is TRUSTING EVERYONE! This man lives for basketball and truly dedicates himself to the betterment of ALL kids on the court or in the classroom. Bath Co. knows this and that is why if Troy Lee accepts this position, not only will their program see success, he will be a valued member to their community. So, let us all be reminded that "He who hath not Sinned, Cast the First Stone", otherwise, let sleeping dogs lie and move on with your life.
  11. Since Randy Ward's name is being mentioned by just about everyone, I wonder just how many people will/did actually apply. No one wants to apply just for status quo if the decision has already been made. No fools here ya know
  12. So are you saying no one should apply? Isn't Greenup getting a new principal as well? You would figure with a new super, a new AD and a new principal, something would change!
  13. So, will this be another inside hire, or will the administration actually try and find a good fit for the program as well as the community? Who will make the decision on the hire this time around?
