10 Good
  1. Owensboro @ Daviess County cancelled 12/16
  2. I understand that Becca's sister Rachel has indeed been lost this season to the aformentioned knee injury...She will go on to college and have a fine career. Get better Rachel
  3. Her older sister (Rachel) is indeed very good. She has been hampered with a knee injury early on and may not be able to continue this season. Lets hope she does. She has a scholly already so hope is she will get her knee healthy and have a great senior year.
  4. Oh there is no doubt, she will be the focus of any team from a defense and she will stumble as the season goes against good and bad teams. As you said, just an eight grader. That would be a good game to see as SK has a tough defense.
  5. I am not sure how any of that works. I have to assume it is all legit if they post it in the paper on the recent article they had. Maybe someone can clarify the rules.
  6. She played this summer for Tenn. Elite ( 7th in nation this past summer ). She is average approx 23ppg this year (early ) in fact she is real close i think to average of a triple double. It is early in season, but i say a good chance by her junior/senior year she will average that the whole season. The Vols. were there to watch her this week and she did not dissappoint. They moved her to senior division in AAU this summer and played against the top seniors in the land and did real good against them
  7. She is listed at 6'. She plays forward, but she brings the ball up the floor. I am sure she will be a guard in college as she handels the ball so well and passes way to good for her age. She has very long arms. Her sister has committed to Bellarmine (her sister is a senior) and Becca will just play where she chooses. She went to San Diego this summer at some elite phenom camp and toured UNC in the summer with a AAU team in a tournment where she was offered the ride.
  8. Owensboro Catholic 8th grader already been offered University of North Carolina ride. Barring injuries she will be able to have her pick of schools. If you ever get a chance to see her, take it in. Maybe Miss Basketball as a Junior and Senior if not before.
  9. Daviess County run out of steam...Too much one on five in 2nd half of game...Teams tied at half...Shelby Co much better 2nd half...Congrats to Shelby
  10. Yes congrats to the Colonels. I hated that Owensboro lost to C.C, but I am glad to see we got beat by a state finalist from the same district/region. Good Job Colonels from a Owensboro fan.
  11. Football rules at both schools and yes all boys/young men attend which as one poster said the vast majority do not play football. One questions why they do not dominate in basketball or baseball. Is there not a feeder system for that? Would players that excell at basketball or baseball rather play other places that win in those sports? I can only assume. I mean you do hear about these schools in football season, but then they pretty much disappear when baseball and basketball dominate the headlines so as I said football rules there and swimming also, but you would think with that many males that additional sports would be more "headliners". However they can hang their hats on those football games.
  12. No doubt they dominate in football. They put a great deal of pride and special emphasis on the programs starting at the elementary level and it goes from there. They are the proverbial big fish (statewide) in a small pond of football from a national standpoint. They have had limited sucess (Trinty 5-7 and St. X 1-1 in the last several years )outside of the state on the larger scale among some teams that I have to think is great competition. After all when you are this dominate on the state level I woiuld think you would want to play some top notch programs to gauge yourself where you stand with such teams that are " in your league " . I am sure they would like to play other great teams outside of the state but you only have some many opportunties. They do have other sports that they play, but with the big 3 sports they are only really this sucessfull in football (average if not below in the others ). Having said this yes they are the best of the best and until someone comes and knocks them off on a regular bases they willl remain. No bashing intended here, just a viewpoint.
  13. No you are confused. The regional championship was played between Owensboro and Christian won by a very talented Christian County team. Hopkinsville did not get that far. Can you give us a prediction on Christian County and John Hardin or do you wait untill after the game is over and then predict?
