I remember year ago when Bush jr was in office and having trouble with one of his daughters. Barbara Bush told the press that he had it coming as he was not easy to raise either. Loved that! No attempt pretend that their family was perfect.

Very true. I know a few kids who had great loving supportive parents. The kids themselves were also good kids. They still became victims of addiction. I don’t understand it and probably never will, but I know the power it has over some people. These kids blew chance after chance too, acquired arrest records, and now two are dead. Zeke’s past includes a lot of hype and the “walks on water” syndrome. Very likely he did get away with...

I agree that wearing a crop top SHOULD have no impact, but sadly, it apparently did. I am very surprised that the prosecutor did not advise witnesses in what to wear, or in this case, what to NOT wear to court.

Horrible tragedy. It was on FOX News this morning. Extensive coverage in the Enquirer today. Sad that a Hamilton County Sheriff went back to do his own check, saw one van with no one inside. Later it was noted that it was probably the right van. I would have to agree that the second 911 operator was very negligent in not relaying the more detailed information. My heart breaks for that poor kid and his family. He did everything he...

Partial ownership (5 couples) on a used pontoon. Owned it 2 summers and it cost approximately $100 a night to run on the Ohio River, not including gas, storage or insurance. Group sold it for a huge loss.

Years ago, I had the priveledge of traveling to South Africa. Mr. BWF and I traveled through Krueger National Park which was awesome. You basically drive from one village to another, seeing great wildlife and never get out of your car if you are smart. Each village is heavily gated to keep you safe from the wildlife. One day we stopped at a village and ordered dinner that included monkey gland sauce. Mr BWF was all over it because he...

I hear ya, but I also know several parents who sent their kids to other states for rehab. The hope was that a fresh start away from old friends who would be bad temptations would help them stay clean. Unfortunately, their problems went with them. I truly don’t know what works. Only recovering addicts do I guess.

What a shame. So much talent with multiple opportunities to succeed, and yet he blew every one. Hope he conquers his demons before he kills himself or someone else.

As opposed to you intelligent young folks who take pictures of your food? IMO, Facebook is what you make of it. I enjoy getting updates from people I haven’t seen in years. I defriend people who go on rants too often.

My guess is that you do not gamble. I do, and do it within reason. It is entertainment for me. It does not exploit the vulnerable. Most lower income folks I know work hard and would never risk their hard earned money on gambling. People who can’t afford to gamble and choose to do so are stupid, not vulnerable.

I agree that there is a lot of truth in this article, but I do not think the gaming industry is at fault. I do not see poor people who lose money at casinos as victims. Alcoholics should avoid bars and people with gambling problems should avoid casinos.

I have been to The Red Mile where the games are just plain stupid. I have been an avid horse racing fan years, but I think horse racing in KY (with the exception of Keeneland and Churchill) has purposely downgraded themselves in the hopes of getting casinos (hello Turfway!). Love casinos myself, used to hope that Ky would ok them, but now I don’t care. Too many real casinos around. KY should build on what we do best, because I think...

They should not have been able to force teenage lifeguards to “test” the ride every morning. Hiding injury reports...what were they thinking? Oh yeah... $$$. I am glad they face criminal charges. I worry about today’s desire for amusement park rides to be bigger, badder, faster, and scarier.

My mother died from brain cancer over 30 years ago. She had just come home from her surgery, and was very depressed, had speech issues, half her hair shaved off and a huge scar incision site on one side of her head. I was home with her when an African American woman I had never seen before came to the door. (I bring up her race because you rarely saw a person of color in Ft. Mitchell back in the day). She very nicely introduced herself...

I think the average citizen (me included) would never want to second guess a police officer’s last minute decision even when faced with video proof. The world is a dangerous place and officers make split second decisions that most of us could never make. Murder is a tough charge, and I think honestly he would have been convicted of lesser charges if it had not been so politically charged.

Yes I know, but that was UC’s settlement. Does that prohibit them from going after him personally?

I am very surprised by this. Wonder if Sam Dubose’s family can go after him in a civil suit?
