  1. I'm really interested in hearing an update on this. I thought it was a done deal. (Twice) lol
  2. Sure would have liked to have seen the New Harlan/Bell Co. game this year. Too bad Bell's schedule was too full to play.
  3. I've been trying to think of the song forever...wasn't is called "Lightning Crashes"
  4. All I know is there is BIG TIME excitement about football in Harlan County...I for one am glad to see it. I'm hearing talk that the crowd might be bigger than the '93 Cawood vs. Bell Co. game. Would love to see that.
  5. I would venture to say that there is a larger percentage of "county" kids @ HHS than there are "Harlan" kids @ HCHS. They transfer for various reasons. Most of the transfers mentioned in the earlier post already lived in the county school district...and some of them attended county schools before they ever went to Harlan.
  6. Before I ask this question, I am not being negative toward Harlan. I'm just curious....How many have transferred to Harlan County from HHS? I just honestly didn't realize there were that many players on HC's team that were from Harlan.
  7. Lookin' forward to this one...Anyone bringin' hotwings? HC by 6!!!!
  8. Joe Brock kicked them regularly for West Harlan. Probably was the '01 season. He didn't play in high school...stuck to basketball.
  9. The middle school coaches use the talent that they have available to them. (Like any good coaches do.) I've seen times (probably when they were still West Harlan) that they've kicked deep most of the time. At that time, they were regularly kicking in-game field goals. (up to 35 yarders.) When they have a good kicker, they utilize him. When they don't, they find other ways. To place the blame for the current kicking woes on the middle school is a little far-fetched.
