    Default Track the Braves

Well already two games into the season I have figured this out about this years Braves. A lot stronger bullpen and better clutch hitting so far.

Braves rallied from 3-2 deficeit to send it into extra innings and the bullpen bailed them out of a huge jam. Renteria went on to hit the GW 2 run homerun.

Game 2 The Braves had a strong pitching output from Tim Hudson who had a no hitter thru 5 innings and only allowed 1 run. They trailed 2-0 in the 9th but a game tying 2 run homerun by Brian McCann gave them hope. In the 11th the Braves had another GW homerun but this one came from rookie 1st baseman Scott Thorman.

Today's game is so far a blowout as the Braves lead 8-2 in the top of the 8th. Brian McCann continues his hot streak as he is 1-3 with a double and 2 RBI's.

Braves will open at Turner Field on Friday against the Mets.

I'm psyched! Could this be the team that reverses my poor luck lately?

Braves beat the Mets 5-3 today. Smoltz throws a good game for the Braves.

Braves hit past the Mets today winning 3-2. The Braves were down 2-1 in the bottom of the 8th but a leadoff double by Chipper Jones and a McCann double tied the game. Francouer followed by hitting the go ahead single which proved to be the winning run. Both pitchers today looked good and it was very good game. The Braves take the series and move to 5-1 while the Mets fall to 4-2, Braves have a game lead on the division.

Awesome my pro baseball team finally gets off to a great start. Hasnt happen in a few years. Im glad to see this and they are doing it without Chipper and Andrew hitting the ball well. I hope the Braves have a great season and continue the good work.

Hampton done for the year AGAIN. I'll be surprised if I ever see him pitch for the Braves again. A real shame too, because he regained his form in 2004.

That's the thing, if you've been watching the Braves this year you'd know that chipper and Andruw haven't been hitting the ball well

Braves win 8-0 over the Nationals tonight. Tim Hudson pitched very strong for the Braves and so far he is having a great year. In both of his outings he has not given up a hit until at least the 5th inning. Tonight he pitched 7 innings allowing 2 hits and no runs. The Braves had homeruns from Andruw Jones, a solo shot, and Jeff Francouer, a two-run shot(I think). Braves face the Nationals again tomorrow with Chuck James pitching for the Braves. Atlanta moves to 6-1 for the season and will look to win their 3rd straight series of the season.

Braves are baeting the Nationals 5-1 so far with the game in the top of the 8th. Chipper Jones hit his first homerun of the season, a 2 run shot. In the bottom of the 7th Andruw Jones hit a 3 run homerun to put the Braves up 5-0. Chuck James pitched 6 innings gave up 5 hits and had 5 strikeouts. If it holds up the Braves will move to 7-1 and if the Mets lose the Braves will be in sole posession of 1st place.

Chop. I love the Braves. Where is Dale Murphy, Mark Lemke, and Jeff Blauser when you need them. Cox my man, getting the young bucks going early.
