Default Texas Rangers will win the 2007 World Series

Why? They fired Buck Showalter as their manager today. The last two times he was fired, his old club (Yanks and D'backs) won the series the next year.

So what would happen if a team (Cubs) hired him as manager and then fired him before the season started and two teams had him as former manager.

Would the Earth stop spinning on it's axis?

    Showalter's streak would end.

A pitcher or two and another decent bat and the Rangers might really be contenders...especially in the weak West...

Is that the same weak West that has a 2-0 lead in the playoffs or the same weak West that produced a second place team that had a record better than the winners of the NL Central and NL West??

Do you really have to worry about the Cubs winning the World Series?
