    Reds @ White Sox (5/8-5/10)

I'm guessing I'm like most bench players--better used in small doses but @LRCW said to give it another shot...

    Friday: Marquis vs. Noesi
    Saturday: Cueto vs. Rondon
    Sunday: Lorenzen vs. Danks

I'm interested to see the Reds lineup this series. Surely Mesoraco will be the DH, right?

They'll probably save him for a pinch hitting situation where they are down exactly 4 runs with the bases loaded, 2 out and a LH on the mound...

I believe the the Sat and Sun pitchers for the Sox are lefties. You don't think Price will pull lefty/righty thing and not DH Meso tonight?

If Meso does DH tonight, are we still playing a man down?

There's not another team in baseball that would still be carrying Gregg as one of the best 25. Even the Florence Freedom would've cut ties by now, I'm not sure he could post a sub 5 ERA pitching in the Frontier League. At this point it's just pure stubbornness to keep him on the roster, admit you made a mistake, cut him and move on. You tried to revive the career of another washed up bum, it didn't work out so let him go. Give Danny Graves or David Weathers a call and see if they want another shot in the show.

Mesoraco has been active all year and has 2 hits and 4 walks... Great use of a roster spot

Reds have hired Barry Larkin as a minor league roving infield instructor....If he's going to be the guy next year, you gotta get him in the organization now.

He might very well be, with Riggleman as his bench coach.
