Reds have 40 games to play, they go .500 in those games they'll end up 94-68.

Pirates have 41 games to play and would have to go 27-14 just to tie. (That's a .659%)

Cards have 41 games to play and would have to go 29-12 just to tie. (That's a .707%)

Leake pitches a complete game to beat Dickey in his last start. For his effort he draws Halliday tonight.

Billy Hamilton at 143 SB...2 from Vince Coleman's record. OBP gone from .413 High-A to .419 Double-A. SB rate dropped from 83% to 76%. #Reds

I guess the Reds will have a nice little tester considering the rotation they'll have to deal with starting tonight.

^Not until Sept. 1 at the earliest is my guess.

I'm of the belief the Reds downplayed the severity of his injury.

As long as they keep playing well and Pittsburgh sucks, let him heal. Too much money invested to turn this into a total knee reconstruction.

I think the Reds and Joey initially thought it was minor situation. The plan was scope it, rest it for a couple of weeks and heave Joey back into the everyday lineup.

Everyone had an awakening to the severity of his injury when he reinjured it sliding while testing it out. The result...a second arthroscopic surgery.

I'll bet Castellini doesn't allow Joey to be rushed back this time. (Especially considering the fact that the Reds are 6.5 games up on the faltering Pirates and 8.5 games up on the Cardinals)

I predict it will be mid-September before Votto is in the starting lineup again. I would put it at 10 - 20% that Joey is shut down for the year.

Nearly a quarter of a billion dollars is at stake.

Sounds more to me like the original scope wasn't done in total.

He will be back before mid-September and no chance he is shut down for the year unless he gets hurt again. He is already doing baseball activities. It will be the end of this week or the beginning of the next IMO.

Going to predict a 2-2 series. Still not sure how Philly hasn't been better with that pitching and yes I do know about the injuries to offense early in the year and Halladay being out a bit, but they have had Lee and Hamels the whole year, Halladay over half, it would seem to me that they should have been better.

No chance. Leake has a better chance than Heisey does.

Can somebody else see what's wrong with this lineup?
