The Reds - No complaints
The best thing about a message board is to vent complaints, but in the case of the Reds there is absolutely nothing to complain about
, they are in cruise control until the World Series. I actually don't foresee anyone giving them any competition in the NL Playoffs. To be in the position they are in without Votto for a month+, no offense from Bruce for the entire summer practicallly, no true leadoff hitter, no Masset or Madsen. Are you kidding me? Sometimes things are just meant to be from the get-go and these Reds are World Series bound, probably against the Rangers, but for some reason I think it will be the White Sox. Their plan has worked all year, just get 4-5 runs(if that),have your starter go 6-7 innings without giving up that amount and then things are lights out from there. Chapman reminds me of Goose Gossage, just overpowering. It shocks me at this point that major leaguers are not hitting his fastball, because that is all he has got. I guess what they say is true, all major leaguers can hit the 95-98mph fastball, when your above that, it is unhittable. The only person that beats Chapman is Chapman, with off the field incidents, etc. Can't complain about Dusty, Stubbs, Rolen, Ludwick anymore, gonna be a boring two months until the playoffs,

Why even have the playoffs? Just give the WS trophy to the Reds.

All In trying to jinx the Reds.

Of course the Reds should be dominating right now they have a cake schedule this lat part of the season. If they aren't able to take care of business then there is something wrong. It doesn't help them prepare for the playoffs though, just IMO.

- Aug 5, 12, 12:00 PM #9Yeah the Braves were swept and I have no problem with admitting that but that was then, I'm talking about now and going forward. I highly doubt the Reds would sweep a series from the Braves, but I'm sure we will find that out come playoff time.

The reds will be lucky to win the Central. No way the pitching holds up like it has been. They've had a lucky stretch.
Take THAT All In.

Try telling the Miami Heat that last year, try telling the Phillies that too, oh wait try telling every team that. Makes no sense to say that because they're professionals they'll be ready, because there should be a lot of things they could/should be able to do "because they're professionals" but they don't. Horrible reason.

This isn't 2010. They have the best record in baseball. Regardless of your schedule that is going to work for the entire season, to today. They also have a solid staff and lights out bullpen. AND, they've gone on quite a tear without their best two players for a bunch of games. Not many teams can say that.

Did I say they want it more? No your the one that had the "they're professionals so they'll be ready" which is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh this morning.
