Starting the game in a 3-0 hole is a lot different than allowing 3 in the 5th.

So how many starts is it going to take for him to give the Reds a QS?

It all starts with the pitchers getting hits they have no business getting.

If he goes 1 more inning, and gives up a run or less he'll have one.

^Looks like I was right....There was no way he was coming back out there after that debacle.

Rolen grounds out softly to the first baseman. He is now batting .100 - - which is a mere decimal point away from being a contributor.

Rolen was absolutely great the 1st half of 2010. We would not have made the playoffs without him. He carried the team on his back. MVP

2nd half of 2010, all of 2011, so far in 2012......not so much. He is done.

Why is Todd Frazier not on the big league roster again?

This team has more strikeouts today (7) than balls to make it out of the infield (5).

Don't you realize that these early games don't really count. We only need to worry about the games that are played June-September according to some posters.

The only thing worries me (and should any Reds fan) is 19 runs in darn near 7 full games. That's atrocious.

Lead off the 8th with a double by Valdez, and he doesn't move off second.

Dropping early games just make it that much more difficult to get them back later down the line. Huge difference in getting off to a good start and having wiggle room for a slump than starting off bad and having no room for error later in the season.

So should they have bunted Valdez over there hoping to get one back or played it straight up like they did?

Votto gets on and Rolen doubles and now they are walking Bruce, the go ahead to run to pitch to Ludwick.
