If they collapse like last season, the Brewers wouldn't even have to do that good. It's a stretch, Pirates need another bat, Brewers just playing out the season. What amazed me about their weekday games against the Reds was drawing 30-40 thousand a game and being completely out of any kind of race, so the support is there to keep them from completely tanking

Those numbers are from season ticket sales. The actual attendance wasn't close to that.

So when the Reds only draw an announced crowd of 20,000 on Monday-Wednesday games, there's really only 12-15 thousand there, right? or does this only apply to other teams in the division?
Have the Reds had a crowd above 30,000 for a Monday or Tuesday game? Anyone? I really don't know. They did have the best record in baseball for awhile there, Brewers way out of it

The box score list around 40,000. I don't know how much Miller Park seats, but it looked like it was pretty close to capacity watching the game.

If you really think the announced crowd is the amount of people who show up, especially on a weekday for a team way out of the race there's nothing I can do to explain it differently.
You think whatever you want.

Typical response to what seems to be a valid question.

Bottom had an additional procedure on his knee today. Add 7-10 more days to his absence...

Time for the offense to pick it up again.

Rolen needs to be DL'd. Having 2 guys (Rolen and Cairo) that are unavailable taking up roster spots is retarded.
Votto's knee was more serious than what the Reds said. 2 more additional weeks at the earliest. That puts his return into September if my math is accurate.

I'll second that, the Reds could win the World Series this year, but him and Chapman are the two guys I pay to see.

We need a trade now. We don't miss Cairo has he been out? Grandpa could throw his back out before playoffs. Still worry about "Mr. Contact" Arroyo, "Boom Boom"Leake and "Mr. Inconsistency" Bailey
Add in "Down The Drain"Ondrusek and you have concerns

Didn't the Reds sit down Leake last year after his innings got to a certain amount? Worry about him and Bailey also. Think eventually LeCure, maybe Simon may try a few starts before season's end. If Masset comes in strong and the new guy(already forgot his name) could close, maybe Chapman gets in a few starts before the playoffs(just saying)

Wood will show the Reds today why it was a mistake to trade him.
