VanMeter pops out to third to end the game. Nationals hold on for a 7-6 win.

Well chalk it up to another one run loss. Another game that the base running and third base coach probably cost us the game. Can’t do those things if you want to make up ground. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on picking up another infielder. Don’t get what we are trying to do moving forward.

Yep, a lot of things with this team are like the movie Groundhog Day!!
See Hughes came back from his suspension and picked up right where he left off!!
    Gausman looked good.

Iglesias is a free agent after this year. Pereza will be in his 2nd year of arbitration. Adding him gives them another option if they are unable to sign back or keep one of those guys.

Reds trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th. Of course they have no chance of winning tonight...they're facing a guy with a 6+ ERA, why should they? They've only got 2 hits so far...which will probably be all they get tonight.

Make that 3-0 Nats, after Dozier and Soto play long ball in the 4th.
@nkypete, I hope you didn't unpack your bags...I feel you may end up suffering the same fate as David Hernandez.

And guess what fellow Red fans?? We got thrown out on the bases again tonight. The 2 HRs that got hit we had the batter 1-2 in the count. They also scored a run on the rare double play turned by us but the run scored from third. We get Strasberg tomorrow. The brooms may be coming out.

My buddy @Deuce has been giving me dislikes lately. I'm not used to that.

I've run out of people to blame. Most of the old guard Reds thread posters are gone. I gotta blame someone.

He knows it's all in fun. At least he should. I'm never serious on BGP. Everyone has to know that by now.

Time to start talking about the 2020 Reds because the 2019 Reds are finished.
