    These are the type games that show the Reds has no chance to contend.

    If I wanted to "jump on your every post" I would have quoted you like I did here. It was a general statement about the predictability of this thread and how it doesn't surprise me.

    @sumoroyal @MJAlltheWay24

    I vote that we direct this bad boy back to Reds vs Cubs.

    I’d argue that they are “contending” anytime you stay without 5 games you’re within striking distance if you get hot, but I also understand your point. The fan in me hates it, but games like yesterday are beginning to add up in that L column.

    You can’t score 3 in the first, have an opposing pitcher struggle like yesterday, and even have the meat of your order come through twice in crunch time and lose 4-3.

    They’re a lot more competitive and fun this year, but not there just yet, which is fine. They weren’t supposed to be, but as a fan I’ll hang on and hope as long as I can.

    Lorenzen is one of the most unique baseball players ever. Quality relief pitcher. Defensive replacement as an outfielder. Pinch hits. Fast enough to steal bases as a pinch runner. I can't think of another player like him in MLB in my lifetime.

    He's one of my favorites on this team.

    Poor Farmer took a couple of shots in the 9th. I thought the second one knocked him out there for a second.

    I didn't see how it happened but the Cubs took an early lead in the first inning and are up 1-0.

    Well, Gray just gave up another solo shot. This one to Addison Russell. 2-0.

    They’re just trying to break the stigma of only scoring early lol.
