DuVall looked terrible again with men on base.

Went to the game today. Really liked what I saw from Tyler Mahle. Reminded me of a right-handed Tom Browning. Get the ball, step on the rubber, get the sign and go. Don't know what he topped out on the radar gun, but seemed to have that easy gas. Never looked like he was going all out.

Anybody know what McCutcheon was so upset about during his 2nd AB? Couldn't tell if he was complaining that Mahle quick-pitched him or if it was something else.

He asked the umpire for time and didn't get it.

The guys good. 5 BB today. It takes Peraza two months to get that.

He's the only reason I still watch Reds games.

I was impressed with how many fans stuck around for it. The Avett Brothers are more than welcome to come back for a post-game concert whenever they like as far as I'm concerned.

He had a few no so nice words included a really big one as he walked back into the dugout. The look on a couple of the kids faces down there were hilarious.

We were in section 421, so was too far away to hear anything.

    Joel Luckhaupt‏ @jluckhaupt

Votto is 1st known Reds hitter to see 5 full counts in a 9-inning game. He also saw 5 on 4/13/12 in 13 inn. Stubbs saw 5 in 9 PA on 5/25/11.
