Even with the great game, I wish they would leave Winker in the lineup. Let's see what we have between now and the end of the year.

Winker went to the DL with hip problems.

Cincinnati Reds Notes: Jesse Winker on disabled list with hip injury

Winker was hitting .297/.402/.500 in 87 plate appearances over 30 games for the Reds this season. Ervin has five hits in 10 at-bats over seven games for the Reds this season, including two home runs. He was hitting .256/.328/.380 in Triple-A. He was just optioned on Wednesday.

Chad Wallach was called up to the big leagues. He's the 2nd part of the Mat Latos trade (Desclafani & Wallach in exchange for Latos). Dad was a big leaguer.

Missed that. I guess I can't complain about that until he comes back.

I was looking at their record 13-11 in August with 13 of those games on the road. As bad as there record is, I still enjoy watching them. If they could get some starting pitching, they would have been really competitive. They have a chance for 6 guys to hit 20 homeruns.

Duvall with another outfield assist. Guns down Bell at home to end the 3rd.

Castillo 2-7 record with a 3.26 era. 77.1 innings allowing 57 hits and 83 Ks. The downside 31 bbs but the Reds just can't score for him, 3 runs in his last 3 starts.

Votto streak ends as he strikes out twice looking. The second half he is bad looking at to many pitches and not being aggressive. Swing the bat Joey so you have a chance at 40 HR and 100 RBI season.

In two at bats today, Votto has walked twice and made the pitcher throw 22 pitches.

I could watch him bat all day.

Reds had bases loaded with nobody out with four, five and six hitters up and could not score. DuVall looked absolutely lost at the plate.

That guy threw 107 pitches today; 32 of them to Joey Votto.
