Lorenzen pitches a scoreless 8th inning and then hits a two run homer in the bottom of the 8th. Reds up 8-5.

Reds hang on to win 8-5. Lorenzen gave up game tying Homer because I guess he wanted the win, LOL!!!!!!

First time a player got the W, played the field and hit a HR since Babe Ruth. Wild.

It was actually 95 years ago. With the blown saves Lorenzen has had this season at least he had something good happen this time after blowing yet another one.

Lorenzen getting the start in CF today.

(Should've done this early in the season before Senzel got called up, when it was painfully obvious Schebler was struggling.)

Gray goes 6 innings today, 4 hits, 1 run, 7 K's. Looked like he was going to get a hard luck L for his efforts as the Reds trailed going into the bottom of the inning 1-0. But a Blandino double and a HR by Iglesias have put the Reds up on top 2-1.

Jared Hughes comes in for the Phillies and on the first pitch, Suarez hits a line drive HR into right-center. Lead now 3-1.

Thom said it was the sixth time he has left with the lead and had the bullpen blow it.

Everyone considers Castillo the ace of the staff, but Gray is probably more deserved of the title. He's been solid all year.

The Cowboy has summed up my feelings on David Bell's first year as manager..."I don't understand that move."

Ervin with a walk off to win it! Honestly thought Harper was going to rob him.

Cowboy just said in postgame that he agrees with this. He said the Reds probably feel this way too.

Yes, and you’ve got to feel for him, with a DECENT bullpen performance OR DECENT SUPPORT and he could EASILY have 17-18 wins right now!!!
