    Default MLB Trivia

I like to play MLB trivia with my friends via text. Once one question is FULLY answered or 24 hours have passed another question can be asked. So here we go.

What are the top 5 ACTIVE MLB players in terms of plate appearances who have played for ONLY one franchise.

As always, no looking up the answers.

Quickly off the top of my head I will say Jeter and Todd Helton. Maybe Mariano Rivera but it seems to me that he started his career with another team. Add Posada too.

I doubt Rivera has many plate appearances.

    Jeter is #1
    Helton is #3

Rivera probably ranks close to #1,675,986 in PLATE APPEARANCES

Duh ... should have thought of this one immediately also ... Chipper Jones.

And here is a guess ... Jimmy Rollins?

Chipper Jones has to be up there.

Albert Pujols and Ichiro are my other two guesses...

The Pujols and Suzuki guesses are good ones but I would bet Posada is above them. If Jeter is 1 and Helton 3, then Chipper has to be #2. I will say Posada is #4 and probably Suzuki #5 because he gets more AB's a year than Pujols.

Pujols is a good guess but is actually #6 on the list.

    Ichiro is the #4 guy.

Whoever wants to ask the next question feel free to go ahead.

Plate appearances kill Posada. He is actually #8 on the list.

Victorino came up as a Padre and also wouldn't crack the top 25 even if he was a one franchise guy.

The Mike & Mike trivia question today was a good one, that I was surprised I got right....In the past 7 seasons, Pujols has started 4 All-Star games. Who were the three guys to beat him out?

Ryan Howard? Prince Fielder? Those would be my two obvious choices. Berkman maybe? He might have been an outfielder at the time, though.

Howard, Fielder are the only ones that come to mind. Todd Helton maybe?
