    Pretty amazing to me that Jay at 30 yrs of age coming off a 36 HR 101 rbi season signs for 3 more years at the same salary. What am I missing here?

    Sounds like he just wanted to go back to the Mets. I believe I remember him saying something shortly after he was traded, that he'd be open to the possibility of returning.

    Because homers are cheap right now. The all time record for homers in a season was set last year. Guys that hit 25-35 homers with a mediocre OBP are a dime a dozen right now.

    Right field in Boston is one of the deeper ones in the league. I'll stick with Moon is and Benintiendi.
