Let's not get carried away, only 2 of the 9 starters started where they started in a World Series game and only 4 of 9 were World Series starters.

Reds take a 4-3 lead on a bases loaded single by the pitcher Stephens in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Watching the Cubs you would not think they won a world series last years.

They are lucky they are in the NL Central this year. Any other division and there would be no hope of playoffs. If their pitchers get it together, they could get it turned around in time.

Reds win 5-3. First win and major league hit for Stephens. Save for Iglesias. Bullpen pitches four shutout innings.

Cubs broadcasters pointed out Friday that...at this point in the season...the average won-loss record for the last five World Series champions was one game over .500. Which is where Chicago was this year. I thought that was an interesting stat.

Jim DeShaies had mentioned earlier that the biggest opponent of this year's Cubs might be "Big Brother"...the 2016 Cubs.

I'm back. The Cubs stink. Maybe I should have stayed on vacation. What all did I miss?

Interesting. How many games over were they at this point last year.

I've missed hearing Cubs fans come up with excuses. Glad things are back to normal!
