Today is Tony Gwynn's birthday. I think he would have been 58.

Hit .333 against pitchers in the HOF.

And I think they said on the Baseball Tonight Podcast that he only struck out 31 times in over 500 plate appearances against them.

    Absurd.

    Somewhat along those same lines...

While not quite on Gwynn's level, entering this season Joey Votto had a slash line of .344/.435/.584 in 361 PAs against CY Young winners.

Blake Snell won his 20th game of the season earlier this week.

There are 4 active pitchers who have won 20 or more games at least twice in a season....Who are they?

I feel fairly safe in these 2...
    Clayton Kershaw
    Max Sherzer

Others I think could be possibilities would be...
    Justin Verlander
    Adam Wainwright

Two older ones as my wild-cards...
    CC Sabathia
    David Price

If the above doesn't include all four, the other one that comes to mind for me is Bartolo Colon.

Surprising that Verlander has not done it.
