I'm not a Braves fan in any way, shape or fashion, but what is your argument here? So far, all you've done is said the front office is terrible, with no support for your argument, no examples, no anything but saying they stink.

Moves made to get better this year was Maholm and Johnson. Easy enough right.

Moves made in the last 8 years that helped the Braves is as follows:

    - Acquired RHP Tim Hudson from Oakland in exchange for RHP Juan Cruz, LHP Dan Meyer and OF Charles Thomas.
    - Resigning Tim Hudson
    - Acquired INF Edgar Renteria and cash considerations from the Red Sox for INF Andy Marte.
    - Acquired OF Gorkys Hernandez and RHP Jair Jurrjens from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for SS Edgar Renteria and cash considerations
    - Acquired RHP Rafael Soriano from the Mariners in exchange for LHP Horacio Ramirez.
    - Acquired RHP Javier Vazquez and LHP Boone Logan from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for C Tyler Flowers, INFs Jonathan Gilmore and Brent Lillibridge and LHP Santos Rodriguez.

In all of these moves the Braves dealt away little for players that played really well for 1 or 2 years while they were with the Braves. To my knowledge none of the players trade away have amounted to much at the big league level.

2nd Braves have made excellent moves from scouting and drafting players the past 8 years. Would you like for me to name those moves for you?

I can't recall where, but I remember reading this offseason how the Braves will be struggling financially in the not-so-distant future. The premise of the article was that teams are going to earn significant revenue through television, but TBS has a deal that will prohibit the Braves from increasing their TV revenue as much as other organizations.

Why would TBS have anything to do with them?

Braves have no connections to TBS now, so I'm not sure why they would stop the Braves for having a tv contract.

I assumed it was TBS, maybe it was a different television network. The point remains the same.

Braves aren't on any network other than FSS, besides local tv I'm sure. Yes the Braves struggle because they don't have a big tv deal but their attendance is horrendous.

Fifty people were surveyed asking them just that question. Top five answers. Survey says …

    5. How're the Dawgs lookin' this year?
    4. Them Dawgs should be pretty good.
    3. You think the Dawgs will beat the Gators?
    2. Would you rather play LSU or Alabama in the SEC championship?
    1. Is Greg Maddux still on the team?

Goes into another argument I heard about Atlanta.

I guess I'm just tired of them not getting the big bat or big pitcher when they need it.

Don't know what to tell you. Unless Liberty Media decides to add 20-25 million (or more) to their payroll, it isn't a good idea to trade away top prospects for guys that you will have for two months.

They are 15 games over. 500 and right in the mix for their division. What more can you ask for?

Who did you want them to go after this year? Dempster, they tried and he said no
    Lee, haha
    Liriano, no way
    Shields, Beckett,
They tried to get Lester and Boston said no thanks.

They got the guys they needed. It's not always about getting the big name, but more about getting a guy that will fit the teams needs, fit team chemistry, etc.

Braves consistently get that with players they trade for.

He has actually been pretty decent for the Braves so far. Excellent defensively.

He's always been great defensively. I was obviously kidding, but was saying he was the big bat, and big pitcher because he was the Reds emergency relief pitcher.
