Campbell County's McKinley Miller Offered Full Ride to Univ of Akron

Congrats to McKinley on receiving her first D1 offer - a full ride scholarship to play softball at the University of Akron!

This girl is a pistol! Love her spunk and determination! Can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

    Good luck this season, McKinley!

My favorite current player....possibly my favorite ever, and I got a few. This kid is lots of fun, highly competitive and has a great family background that is pure drive....I wish her the best and hope she holds out for what might be....

This girl is one of the fastest from home to third that I've seen in a long time.

I am so confused. Can Juniors sign with a college? I see these stories all over the place and heard about a girl who had a "full ride" to Western who now is walking on somewhere else. How do you go from truly having a full ride somewhere to walking on somewhere else unless you are going from Western to Auburn or Arizona or Stanford?

At the D1 level you cant sign until November of your senior year. Up until them it is just a verbal.

on the walking on, maybe she is chasing a dream to play at a certain level or reach certain milestones as a player. I don't know. Just a thought.
