The Lady 'Stangs continued their mastery over the Lady Juggs of Lloyd Memorial High School beating them 10-0 in five innings at Alexandria City Park.
Brossart struck early in the first as Ashley Childress walked and moved to second on a bunt single by Amanda Graus. Amanda Lloyd then drilled a laser beam to deep left for a triple to drive home two. Jordyn Boesch grounded out to plate Lloyd and it was 3-0 'Stangs.
That lead remained until the third when Brossart tacked on two more runs. Boesch walked and then scored on a deep triple into the rightfield corner by Kaitlyn Seiter. Megan Seiter then doubled in cousin Kaitelyn and we had a 5-0 contest.
The 'Stangs scored one in the fourth when Graus was hit by a pitch, stole second and then raced home on a long double by Lloyd.
Leading 6-0 in the fifth they forced the mercy rule by scoring four times in the bottom of the inning that started with a Kaitlyn Seiter single. Annie Waymeyer ran for Seiter and promptly stole second. Megan Seiter then walked. Pinch hitter Katie Reis slapped a single up the middle to plate Waymeyer and make it 7-0. She later scored on a sacrifice hit by Riley Orth for an 8-0 lead. Childress drilled a single to right to plate Seiter. Graus followed with another single and then with one out Lloyd came thru again with a sharp hit in the gap to plate Childress with the walk off run and a 10-0 score.
Meanwhile Senior pitcher Karlie Shackelford tossed a one hitter for her 15th win of the season while striking out 9. The Lady 'Stangs are now 17-11 while Lloyd falls to 6-13.
