The picture of "the Laurens" in the Enquirer today was impressive.

I liked what Maureen Kaiser the coach at St Henry said in the article " Notre Dame lost all those seniors but they always have about 10 girls that can play and I don't expect that to be any different this year . I have eight girls , Scott has the Laurens . I think that it is going to come down to those three teams in our region "

Region 9 looks accurate. In Region 10, I don't see Harrison County in front of Highlands and Bishop Brossart. State-wide it looks like it does every year. The big three from Louisville at the top followed by Notre Dame and St. Henry. Scott has some very nice hitters. If they want to beat Notre Dame and St. Henry, their main focus needs to be ball control. If you can't pass, you can't get the ball to the offense. Notre Dame and St. Henry always seem to be light years ahead of everyone else when it comes to ball control.

Doesn't St. Henry (#5) play Louisville Mercy (#1) this week @ St. Henry? Should be a good match up.....

From what I've heard from the scrimmages last week (and I know they are only scrimmages)..... St. Henry dominated Scott (#8) and NDA (#4) played Louisville Mercy to a virtual draw.

Did anyone attend the scrimmages that can provide information about the local teams - St. Henry, NDA and Scott?

I believe NDA plays Sacred Heart (#2) in a couple weeks in Park Hills. That should be a good barometer as well.

Ball control is exactly the key. IF Scott can consistently pass the ball well, they have the front line to compete. I have not seen anyone in N. Ky pass the ball as efficiently and control the ball as well as Notre Dame and St. Henry. Scott has come a long way over the past three years and will be fun to watch.

Would love to hear the details from someone that went.

The scores might not indicate it but NCC played well in all of the games ,but Sacred Heart was the better team most of the evening .
