Alex Dean is the new girls varsity coach. Alex is a former Highlands and Thomas More player. As a Highlands player he keyed a Highlands defense that led them to a state runner-up finish and I know he had much college success as well. Most recently he was Highlands boys JV coach. I think Alex will do well.

All the best to him and the program as they start this new chapter!!!

This is a great selection. Alex relates well to students and knows the game. My boys loved playing for him last season.

Coach Dean will be bringing in an entirely new staff this upcoming season. The incoming staff is walking into a great situation when it comes to talent. He should be able to do great things with this team.

Maybe. Has he, or his assistants, ever Coached High School Girls Varsity Soccer before ? It's entirely different than coaching boy's. Just food for thought. I truly wish the entire staff all the best next season.

Alex has performed skills training for girls at Wiefit, also trained girls at NKSA at one time.

Highlands crowd would probably have more info regarding actual coaching experience.

I understand your point Godfather. Coaching girls is TOTALY different. I think that’s why it is important to surround yourself with a good staff that bring different things to the table. He has the playing experience and training experience now he will just need to figure out 18-20 girls. That will be the biggest challenge.
