Good effort from Russell tonight. It was a 20+ point margin for a big chunk of the game before things got sloppy - including the officiating - in the fourth period.

Shaelyn Steele, despite frequently being the smallest player on the floor, grabbed a game high eleven rebounds. In the times I watched her last year, she was strong on the glass for someone her size. She's still so young, but you can see the potential for greatness there.

Kate Ruggles and Malia Blevins also looked good tonight for the Devils. It's hard to know much two games in, but this team looks like it has the ingredients to be very, very good.

Once Aubrey Hill gets fully used to the game again after returning from an acl tear, she will be a big help.

I really thought she would finish last year as a top five caliber player in the region before the injury. Let's hope she can get her game back to where it was and put together a full season. Her, Kate, and Malia give Russell a lot of length on both ends of the floor. They'll be tough to score on down low this season.
