Coach Scott Collins will return a nice group of seasoned veterans from last year's team, which finished 13-17. I'm thinking they'll be led by a trio of seniors in Heather Jolley, Bradi Boden & Ashten Wolfe. Someone else closer to the program will have to help me out on some of the other returnees, but that threesome will give Pendleton County what they need to contend for a District championship. I look forward to seeing them as they make their annual early season trip to Brooksville to take on my Lady Bears.
Best of luck to Coach Collins & the Lady Cats!

They have some talented sophomores with one being Mckayla Manor(SP?) Shoots very well from just about everywhere on the floor and is a flat out shut down defender....I believe PC will make some noise this season

Mikayla is a nice player, but is far from a shut down defender. They pretty much always went zone when she was in game, not to mention they played zone 90% of the time when she wasn't in the game.

Really? Im not sure you went to many games then. She IS a shut down defender....my guess would be you wouldn't even know what number she wears

Can you not be a really good defender in a zone to? Yes you can be, and typically that results in his or her side or center of the zone being difficult to score on.....or shut down....

Never missed a game. Know for a fact they schemed around her defensive liabilities due to her strength when in man to man. In time she will be a great defender as she gets stronger but until then she has a hard time keeping people in front of her.

You don't know for a fact anything unless you are on the coaching staff which I highly doubt you are. I cover the whole 10th region girls teams so lets give credit when its due.....she has the fastest feet on the team by far and never really had trouble keeping anybody in front of her. There are a couple other of the younger players who struggle at defense so maybe you are confused.....one is an extremely good ball handler and point guard but is a very weak defender. RPs post ask for help with some of the younger returnees so I am giving a unbiased report on a couple...I can assure you of one thing, other than Jolley she is the strongest player on the team...
