    GRC's Taylor signs with Transy

George Rogers Clark High School senior Paige Taylor, second from left, signed with Transylvania University in the library at George Rogers Clark High School in front of classmates, teammates, friends, family and coaches. Joining Taylor at her signing was, from left, mother Amy Taylor, father Thadd Taylor and brother Chase Taylor. Taylor, a guard, averaged 8.7 points and 4.3 rebounds a game for the Lady Cardinals this past season, helping the team to a district championship and 21-11 record. “I’d like to thank my family and friends and student body for coming today and for my teammates for all they’ve done,” Taylor said. “And my coaches for teaching me to work as hard as I can and to be the best I can be on and off the court.” Taylor will joint a Pioneer team this fall which finished 25-3 and set a new program record with 17 consecutive wins to start the season along with a third-straight regular season Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. “Paige is a hard worker and is very dedicated to her craft,” Clark girls basketball coach Robbie Graham said. “She’s an excellent student and an excellent young lady and to see her have a chance to play the game she loves and has dedicated so much time of her life to is really exciting for me as a coach, for our program and for Paige’s family.”
