I use to have some battles with this man here on BGP and I am sorry to say I never had a chance to meet him. A meeting probably would have ended with all agreeing that its all aobut the kids. When you tend to be vocal and wear your heart on your sleeve and express your viewpoints you tend to attract the same type of person on the other end wanting to argue their viewpoint. I must admit though, I respected his opinions even though I may not have liked them. RIP Sir.

This is Mrs CKSHOCKEY. Thank you all for your kind words! Clint was one of the most kind and compassionate people I have ever known and also not afraid to voice his opinion - as all of you know The Ryle Lady Raiders have truly lost their #1 fan in the stands but not in their hearts. Clint's love and passion of the game will continue through others and he instructed me lately not to be afraid to get in here and battle with the boys if the need arises

Clint's last few days he was struggling and Crunchtime you are right.....come hell or high water he was going to see Jenna sign her LOI with Xavier. That day was without a doubt one of the most heart-wrenching days I will ever have - bittersweet to say the least. Jenna and Uncle Clint had and will continue to have a very special bond. Look out folks - she will definitely be on a mission this year!

    God bless you all!

Wow . That sort of freaked me out when I saw a post was made by ckshockey.

God bless you and your family. We all enjoyed the banter and as a dad I can certainly appreciate the joys of watching offspring have success.

I hope the ckshockey posts still come along.

Ma'am...my family is extremely close to your niece and wouldn't miss her signing for anything. I was fortunate to become good friends with Clint. When I got to the signing I had no idea Clint was sick and my heart was simply breaking. We cried with Jenna during her emotional words about her uncle.

When we got the news of Clint's passing we reached out to Jenna to let her know we were praying for her and her family's comfort. I truly hope you find peace and comfort for your great loss.

    God bless you Ma'am!

    Mrs. Shockey,
I wasn't sure if you would be able to see this and I was going to bring to your attention or at least your daughter Sarah's attention. From the crowd I saw at the Southgate Community Center and from the kind words on her, it truly seems that Clint was loved by everyone. You and the rest of your family will remain in my prayers as the healing process continues. I know it isn't easy, but it will get better. I know from the experience of losing my father and sister back in '04. Good luck Jenna and to the Lady Raiders!!

    How time flies!

Clint's granddaughter Jenna just completed her training to become a deputy with the Boone County sheriff's department.
