I was at this game, and this was controlled. The starters, save one, didn't play a single second of the second half, and the Lady Camels didn't really look to even score after intermission.

That's good and that's the only point I'm trying to make is that it can be controlled.

    You clearly miss the point.

if the score was 61-13 at half or whatever it was ... and it ended 68-19 or whatever it was, would that not indicate he called of the dogs? The team deserved a half of play in whatever style they want... and then call if off and he did.. the running clock cannot be invoked until half no matter what the score so I think that's consistent with "you get a half to play your game"

Again the score could have been 126 - 22. The coach called it off at half.

I think most (if not all ) of the Brossart faithful pretty much expected this game to have this outcome- Brossart would be pretty well taken care of in the first quarter and then we would finish the game with the score being rather lopsided.
Can't believe this thread has been active for almost a week now!
    Time to move on- JMO

    Amen !!

Brossart has a good team. Young, scrappy and they compete. They will be better in the future. Having seen Brossart play, I guarantee their girls wouldn't want anyone to take their foot off the gas. Competitors never do.

CC is just "other-level" this year and its also the way they play. They are going to speed you up, they are going to force turnovers and obviously it is serving them well. I really hope CC makes a run in the Sweet 16.

You just can't please everyone. To spare their feelings, Campbell County should have let the 6th grade team play so the final could be 28-18. Anything more is bad sportsmanship.

I agree and he didn't play his starters after the half but in previous games he didn't and that is my point. He has a very good team and is a very good coach and did the right thing in this case.

Not sure why a Camels fan dislikes my post.

Four pages in now...you would think this was a triple overtime thriller. My goodness people it was a 49 point blowout. Campbell is top 2-3 team in Kentucky and they won big over a small Catholic school. NBD.

Like Mustang said, Brossart owns the series in the past 20 seasons.

    Let's paint a clear picture:

In the past 20 meetings, it's Campbell County 12 Brossart 8.
Campbell has also won 6 in a row.
If you go back to the 1990's Brossart ha the edge, but clearly hasn't owned them.

Brossart competed 2 years ago with Campbell and actually they did last year but lost some very nice players last 2 years

Let’s face it this year they did not compete - it could have been 100
