Another great week of high school girls basketball concluded Saturday with #1 Butler proving why they are the #1 team in the High School girls ratings. Butler disposed of Christian Academy Louisville Sacred Heart and Male this past week in the LIT to take home the title. Jaelynn Penn from Butler was named Offensive Player of the LIT while Molly Lockhart was named Defensive Player of the Tourney.

2017 Lyric Houston- Mercer County
2018 Seygan Robins- Mercer County
2018 Grace Berger- Sacred Heart Academy
2018 KiKi Samsel- Sacred Heart Academy
2019 Ashlee Harris- Sacred Heart Academy
2019 Cameron Browning- Male
2018 Ciaja Harbison -Male
2017 Lindsey Duvall- Bullitt East

Male beat Eastern, Henderson County, Mercer County before falling to Butler. Its to be noted that 2017 Alisha Owens from Henderson County is one of the top players in the state. This kid can go!

Mercer County defeated Bullitt East before falling to Male in the final 4.

Sacred Heart beat Mercy and Simon Kenton before falling to eventual champs Butler in the final 4.

Other standouts in the LIT not recognized were Ally Niece and Bailee Harney- Simon Kenton, Faith Lake, Emma Davis, Lexy Lake - Mercer County, Erin Toller -Sacred Heart, Danielle Feldcamp- Mercy, Amaya Lasley- South Warren, Fontasia Jeffries, Janna Lewis and Breia Torrens- Butler.
