This past week saw some great game across the state with some headliners at the Raatz Fence Tourney hosted by Mercy as well as great games all across the state. Teams are now starting to hit their stride and before you know it Districts will be here.

#1 Butler had a great week. They beat #6 Manual in a crazy good game in 3OT. This was a classic from start to finish, in a game I thought Manual had won in regulation. Final score ended up being 72-71. IU signee Jaelynn Penn led Butler with 20 pts. Butler then took on 20-0 and nationally ranked Montini Catholic IL Saturday. Depending on who you look to for the National Rankings USA Today #3, Max Preps #10, Montini Catholic was gonna be a tough out. And out they were as Butler prevailed 43-31 handing Catholic their first loss of the year. Jaelynn Penn again led Butler with 14 pts 10 reb.

#2 Male went 2-0 for the week with wins over Central and the #1 team in Missouri, Incarnate Word at the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic at Mercy. Male defeated Central by a score of 75-36. Male opened up a good lead over Incarnate Word early on in the game, but Incarnate Word battled back only to come up short 58-55. Male continues to roll.

#3 Mercer County goes 2-1 this week. The Lady Titans defeated Dunbar 74-49. Leading the way was UL verbal Seygan Robins with 21. Mercer then faced off with Incarnate Word MO, on Friday night in the first day of the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic at Mercy. Mercer County fell 51-49 to Incarnate Word on a last second shot. This was another classic. Mercer County was led by Seygan Robins with 19 pts. Mercer County returned to Mercy on Saturday to play # Manual. This game was classic Mercer County basketball as they hit 9 three pointers in the first quarter alone. Mercer prevailed 80-55. Mercer County was led by Emmy Souder and Seygan Robins with 21 points each.

#4 Sacred Heart goes 2-0 this week with wins over Scott 67-48 and Saint Joseph School, WV at the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic 66-53. Sacred Heart was led by KiKi Samsel with 21 vs Scott and and 19 vs St Joes WV.

Madi Meier led them with 25 points and 11 rebounds vs Scott County. Ally Niece again led them with 26 points and 8 rebounds vs Ryle.

#6 Manual goes 1-2 this week. Manual defeated CAL 76-51. Manual was led by 2018 Jaela Johnson with 17 points. Manual then lost to Butler in a game we talked about earlier in a 3 OT thriller 72-71. Manual then faced a red hot Mercer County team in the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic Saturday, falling 80-55. Manual was led by 2017 Tonysha Curry with 14 points.

#7 Murray sweeps the ALL A Classic regional games last week going 3-0 with wins over Hickman County 74-28, Fulton County 85-25 and Mayfield 67-22. Great to see 2017 Maddie Waldrop a UT Martin Signee back after a ACL tear this summer.
