The Lady Katz are rolling through opponents and making a statement that the 15th is theirs for the taking. Shelby Valley will face region contender, Johnson Central this week.
2.Johnson Central (2-1):
The Lady Eagles blew out East Ridge to begin the season but would split their next two games, losing 59-46 to 16th region powerhouse Boyd County but winning 56-31 against Sheldon Clark. Johnson Central travels to Pikeville this week to face-off against #1 Shelby Valley in what should be a barnburner.
3.Magoffin County (2-0):
The Lady Hornets picked up their second win on the season by defeating Paintsville 62-49 to improve to 2-0. Magoffin County will travel this weekend to Pikeville to participate in a tournament at Pikeville High School.
Much like Paintsville, the Pikeville Lady Panthers would also pick up their second win on the season and improve to 2-0 after defeating Elliott County 78-35.
Paintsville is having a good season so far sitting at 3-2 with wins over Betsy Layne, Prestonsburg and Phelps and losses coming to Pikeville and Magoffin County, which they will get their shot at revenge later on in the season.

South Floyd went 2-1 last week defeating Cordia and Allen Central but falling to Hazard, improving their record to 4-2. South Floyd will host Prestonsburg this week.

9.Lawrence County (3-3):
Lawrence County woes continue after going 1-2 this past week with their lone win coming against Rose Hill Christian 54-43.
10.Sheldon Clark ( 3-3):
After starting the season off 2-0, the Lady Cardinals have hit a dry spell only winning 1 of their last 3 games but Sheldon Clark is getting great production from junior guard Hope Lafferty who’s averaging right at 25 points a game.
11.Pike County Central (1-4):
It took a 3 game losing skid before the Lady Hawks would finally get their first win on the season, defeating Piarist School, 80-26. Pike Central better rejoice this win because it don’t get any easier this week with Lawrence County, Pikville and Raceland on their schedule.
Phelps started the season off on a good note at 3-0 but have since dropped 2 straight.
Belfry’s lone win came against Allen Central at 70-39.
The Lady Blackcats are struggling this season and it doesn’t look to be much better this week with South Floyd, Johnson Central and the Pikeville Tournament awaiting them.
15.Allen Central (1-5):
Lady Rebels defeated Cordia 62-28 for their lone win so far this season.
16.Piarist School (0-8):
