With a winter storm hitting KY and cancelling a lot of ball games across the state, several teams were able to play even with some snow on the ground but the 15th region, among several other regions in EKY had to cancel a lot more games than any of the other regions, due to them being in the mountains.

Shelby Valley had to wait 12 days (Jan. 15-27) before they could play. East Ridge played but had long delays in their dates/games. Magoffin County was in the same boat as East Ridge. When Shelby Valley returned to action, they are/were participating in the All “A” State Tournament at Frankfort Civic Center.
Unless we get another dose of the same stuff we got last week, (which we’re suppose to get rain that turns into a little snow and temps are suppose to drop), we should get some good basketball over the next week.
