Well besides the fact that I kind of felt like Michael was kind of a given...I think the stats would show that Michael was more of a threat that Cov Cath held onto in their back pocket last season, so to speak. Their passing game with their receiver corps was their primary blow, and Michael was another weapon in their offensive repertoire.

No offense was intended to Michael at all, obviously.

I’m sure Michael wasn’t offended. Primary job in 17 was to wreak havoc on D. Mission accomplished. Excited
    to see him in 18.

Your exact quote was "i don't care who the QB is". This year will show just how good AJ and Butler really were.

What I meant as far as the QB goes, with the weapons and size at the skill positions, the QB will be fine at Cov Cath. This is high school not college. I am not a Cov Cath fan but as an outside observer and watching them play and what they have coming back, I think it’s wishful thinking on your part to think they will take a big step back next year. Which will he needed for teams in NKY to beat them. The only NKY team to beat next years Cov Cath seniors in their freshman, sophomore and junior seasons was beechwood when they were freshman. I think Highlands has a chance to be better but in my opinion they won’t beat Cov Cath in 2018.

It was fine when Highlands was winning title after title (before Dale left), but now that CCH's program is building and the feeder system is becoming stronger, I'm sure that it won't be long until they start chiming in.
So are you saying that the people from the Highlands camp will complain. If so, please! bahahahaha!!!

Cov Cath is on the precipice of being 4A. I believe they are one of the smallest 5A schools.

I won't bring my winning tradition dog in this fight, but, a couple other teams/programs in NKY might chime in.
One in a row won't do it, two in a row won't do it. But if CCH were somehow to put a run together like HHS did for 8 straight years, then combined with Trinity's dominance I could see the talk growing.

There are seven schools with lower enrollment numbers in 5A. Covcath is larger than South Warren, Frederick Douglas, Whitley County, Collins, Johnson Central, Logan County, and Hopkinsville.

That would have things falling out like this. August 17th seemed awfully early for a first football game of the season, but after running the dates through, that would have the first week of playoffs starting on the first Friday of November.

    Aug 17 @ Ryle
Aug 24 vs. Henry Clay (at Lexington Catholic)
    Aug 31 @ Cooper
    Sept 7 vs. Kings (OH)
    Sept 14 vs. Beechwood
Sept 21 @ St. Francis de Sales (OH)
    Sep 28 - Bye Week
Oct 5 @ Bishop Chatard (IN)
    Oct 12 @ Highlands
    Oct 19 vs. Dixie Heights
    Oct 26 vs. Campbell County
