Ox, YOU are a cool guy. My friends that go/went to St. X are all pretty darn cool guys. Heck, even the football players are possibly cool guys...

The fact is for the Ram bros. and friends, St. X is the "team that got away" as 02Ram said... they are always the toughest matchup for Manual, and I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THE LAST 3 MINUTES OF THE '01 GAME!!! It shattered my heart, let me tell you.

So while it's personal, it's not PERSONAL, you know? I think I just made myself dumber... ah well, it's 2 in the morning.

Same votes for me as 02Ram

    Bragging rights: Male
And the victory I sheerly want to see for Manual: St. X

For Conner it has to be Boone Co. Even though the Cougars have won the past 2 regular season games, I have to give the Rebels their props for winning the one that really mattered, last year's 2nd round playoff game.

For Johson Central, it has been Paintsville. However, I think next season they would trade a loss in the Apple Bowl for a win over Ashland. Ashland will be tough next season, and a win over them will show that the Golden Eagles have returned to the level they reached in Bill Musick's last season.

For highlands, it is definitely Covington Catholic, period. Even if the rivalry wasn't so storied, it would still have to be considered number-one, just because it will almost certainly mean a district championship and home field advantage for the winner (the only other teams in the district are South Oldham and Grant County).

CovCath is the logical and rational choice. But, my heart says Cincy Colerain, because they are the reigning Ohio DI champion and the game is in a big-time venue (PBS).

    Oh I don't know B.C., I would call Beechwood a "close second."

I suspect he picked HHS for the same reason I picked CCH. Whichever team finishes second in the district likely has to go down to Lexington Catholic and face the best QB in the state.

Ultimately, the district games matter WAY, WAY more than any of the non-district ones. Heck, for CCH the Grant Co game is more meaningful than the Beechwood game.

Yeah, but I don't have to do dishes for a week straight if we lose to Highlands.

In theory, I agree with you regarding the big picture. However, if HHS started losing to Campbell Co. every year you may change your tune about back-yard losses.

For Lawrence County I think it would be Highlands.

I think for Lynn Camp the team that we want to beat more than anyone else is Williamsburg, and Whitley County.
