That problem has been around in Fayette Co. for a long time. Too many kids have an address other than thier actual residence. If everyone followed the rules, the world would be a better place.

^The administration could help that situation by not redistricting every 3 years. There are certain area's in town were the high school that they end up going to may not be the one they expected to go to at the start of middle school.

I believe that to have a friend a man must first be one. That God put the firewood there, but that every man must gather and light it for himself. In being prepared physically, mentally and morally to fight when necessary for that which is right.

I have heard from a very good source that the job is going to be given to John Barnes, BSHS assistant principal...does anyone know his football background? Can anyone confirm this?

I have heard he is a great guy and was on the staff there with Nochta I believe. I am not 100% sure on this but I did hear he was football oriented and had great knowledge of the game. If someone could verify that he was there under Nochta I would appreciate it. Thanks

It was my understanding that Mr. Barnes was in charge of the committee to hire a coach, not that he is a candidate for the job.

That was my understanding as well. I thought maybe he decided he wanted it.

Perhaps...I'm not trying to just start rumors though...like I said this is from a very good source. Does anyone know who has been interviewed or even some names of those who applied?

Paducah TV station reported that Tilghman head coach Perry Thomas has interviewed. They probably read it in the newspaper but I heard it there first.

If Perry Thomas has applied and they dont hire him they are foolish. Coach thomas is a great coach.

It's my understanding that Thomas has told the Paducah Tilghman administration that he is staying put.

What's your definition of great? How many State Titles has he won or played for?I think he's a good coach but not great. At least not yet.In my opinion there are alot of good coaches out there but very few great.
