DeSales vs. Lexington Catholic. Beau Allen will probably carve up DeSales secondary but Lexington Catholic will have trouble with DeSales rushing attack. I bet this is a good one.

For the NKY area. I’m interested in the Campbell at Cooper game. And the Boone at Ryle game.
I think Campbell bounce back and gets the first win of the season. If not they won’t win until the last two weeks.
I also think Boone will complete well but lose. I want to see how Boone will fight in this one.

    Central Hardin vs Elizabethtown.
These team haven't played each other since 2012 in what used to be a great rivalry. The Elizabethtown athletic complex should be packed. The school has already stated that there will be 3 gates open for entrance to this game. If nothing else, the atmosphere should be great. Unfortunately, most fans will have to stand around the track due to lack of sufficient bleachers.

If I was doing Kentucky this week, the games in order that I would be choosing between.

1- West Carter At East Carter
    2- Paintsville At Pikeville
3- Belfry at Kettering Alter (Technically Ohio, but a Kentucky team is playing)
4- Caldwell County At Crittenden County

    Belfry at Archbishop Alter

The Pirates are making what will likely be a five hour trip to Kettering, Ohio to play one of the best DIII teams in the Buckeye State. Games like this are one of the many things to love about Philip Haywood and his program. They embrace the challenges of playing powerhouse programs from surrounding states. Not every school around these parts would travel that far away from home to face down an opponent of this caliber. A respectable showing - and most certainly a road win - would serve to reinforce Belfry's status as a serious threat to regain their 3A crown.

Desales has a new kid playing safety now. 6-3 athletic kid. Really nice player. He didn’t play vs St. X. That will help but they are still kind of soft at corner.
