Western Hills' Dylan Curry Commits to UL
Western Hills' QB Dylan Curry committed this afternoon to UL. A very good pick up for UL. Curry has the size (6'6" and 245 lbs) and speed (4.8) to play TE at UL, but also has a very strong arm (won a distance competition at the Bishop Dullagahan Camp with a throw over 70 yards) to play QB at the Div I level. Has not been mentioned by many recruiting services due to Hills' ball control offense, but a very good athlete. Will team with Frankfort High's Quan Weaver at UL to give the Cardinals a 1-2 Frankfort punch.

Have heard nothing, but great things about this kid and not being negative, but with the QB class that UK has comming in, I'm willing to bet that UK will be ok. He might have been thinking the same thing, which is why UL looked so good. Best of luck to the young man!!!

Congratulations to this Frankfort product!
I can't see this kid under center at the college level. If he is that big as a 17 or 18 year old, I would imagine he might be a offensive or defensive lineman by the time all is said and done.
I am speculating on this one since I have not seen the young man play.

Curry is being recruited primarily as a TE. He is big and strong enough to block like an o-lineman, but athletic enough to catch balls downfield. He is very strong and athletic for his size, and is deceptively quick. Has a high football IQ (son of a coach), so should be a great pick up for UL.

Did not mean at the QB position, but at the TE position what UK was recruiting him for.

First of all Congrats to Dylan, good hard nosed player. I would agree this kid could see a plethora of positions. Good luck.

With some work he could be a great QB at the next level. Congrats on his quest to Da Ville.

Kid never stood out though when he played defense or when he runs the ball.

He won't play Quarterback at Louisville, but he seems like an awesome TE prospect. Glad to have him aboard.

Do not understand the comment about not standing out when Curry runs the ball or plays defense. Hills has very few designed QB run plays, so Curry only ran the ball when scrambling. He ran a 4.8 at a college camp, so has very deceptive speed for a kid his size. Is big enough at the high school level to run over most D-line and LB, and is DBs nightmare at 6'6" and 250. He does run a little high, but is hard not to at his height. On defense he played DE last season, but played limited plays. Impressed UL, Duke, UK, Ball State, and Indiana enough at DE for them to consider offering a scholarship at that position (still a possibility he moves there at UL). Curry is a much better athlete than many are giving him credit for.

Scratch all that. I viewed his highlight, and have seen him play in person. I think playing TE would be pretty good for him, but I think that he would be better off under center. Put him at quarterback. Plus, his highlight is way too long.

Again, he'll never play QB at Louisville...

Good Luck to Dylan he is a dandy. Just not a big time player as you look at other D1 recruits in the stat column or versatility, but he has that size and speed, so he has a chance to be great!
