Lots of linebackers are over 5.0 in the 40. I think these times are for real. I do not believe most times posted on HUDL or recruiting sites. But these times were recorded by an objective 3rd party with a stop watch (or other timing device).

If these guys are the cream of the crop... the bar has been lowered, in my mind.

    The 40’s were laser timed.

Are there any other KY kids attending next week's combine in Texas?
Read a comment tonight on Facebook that Highlands 6'4 Freshman QB Cameron Hergott was invited and will be attending.

Where did people get Cam was 6’4. He measured in at 6 even. Everyone wants to make people bigger then they are why? He will be a good QB when it’s his turn.

Sports programs have traditionally advertised players as bigger and heavier, stronger and faster than they actually are. I tell my kid to only put down the truth on his HUDL and recruiting site. Only put your true max on the weights, what you were timed in the 40 at a camp, and what the camp measured you at in height and weight. That way there is no deception.

I'd say many kids don't know their true times/size. They mostly go by what they've been told. And unless they've been legitimately been measured at one of these types of camps, most of what they've been told is probably wrong.

Vito ran two (back to back) 4.7 40s. It allowed him to land on the "honorable mention" list, as a sophomore. The president of the games said that it has validified Tisdale as being a "National Recruit." Vito is currently rated the 109th best prospect in America (all classes).

You have to get it at a camp--objective 3rd party. I have heard too many fathers and kids with unrealistic expectations. We've had a few of those discussions on here about 40 times. Go to a camp and get the results in writing. Then don't embellish it. If you don't like the times, work at it and go to another camp.

Running on the electric eye is an "eye opening" experience. You realize how important your start is b/c of the impact of shifting your weight has on starting the clock.

He has time to grow as well. Look at his older brother and mom, they are tall. Kid can play.

The point is your opening to the thread was 6’4 freshman he may end up at 6-4 but right now he is 6. I think to just stir up stuff. Why can’t we just all talk about the facts. Pretty said people who don’t even come to the games know everything

How is "hand span" measured? I have seen it measured in inches with hand spread out measuring thumb to little finger. Obviously with measurements in the 20's this is not how they do it there. Or did they use a different unit of measurement?

    Centimeters most likely.
