I heard an interesting stat today....
Bob Beatty is 6-3 against the Xaverians...
Mike Glaser is 14-19 ( I think...or very close to that)
Trinity is 6-5 in The Pizza Box...

X is 2 for 2 thus far, winning both games pretty handily (JV wasn't as close as the score indicated). Can they get out the brooms Friday night?

^ no....actually it will surprise me more if it doesn't happen....
That said...if you haven't played in this game you can't fathom what it is like...all your life you have waited for this...school seems to drag on forever...you are so excited about that pep rally, can't hardly eat lunch...and then the worst is when the final bell rings...you have 2 hours and change of NOTHING.....you can't take it, you have gone over every scenario in your head, GOOD AND BAD....then you get to the school, and things start to get easier, you load up the busses, and you feel sick....you get to the stadium to do more waiting, and waiting....the game FINALLY gets here...the opening kickoff goes...and the IT's ALL GONE in a minute...but the memories of whether or not you won or lost will stick forever......
Let's have another awesome chapter written tomorrow night...Good Luck to both squads.

After reading the C-J, I think Trinity has a big advantage in Special Teams play. X breaking in a new kicker/punter. Hope all is well with the old one. Best of luck to him. Will T rush the new guy? I would think so with a few mishaps from last weeks X gmae.

I hope the Saint Xavier coaches have more control over their players should the varsity Tigers win tonight. The last time Saint Xavier pulled the regular season sweep, I thought allowing the players to run around the field with brooms was done in very bad taste. This rivalry should be above those types of childish antics. They should celebrate, but do it with class.
Hopefully this will not be an issue tonight.
