TRINITY STUDENT-ATHLETE TO SIGN NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT

Louisville, Ky. – Trinity High School senior class president Ryan Young will sign a national letter of intent to participate in collegiate athletics at a ceremony to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Trinity High School.

Ryan Young (football) will sign with Butler University. “A true Trinity example, Ryan Young worked extremely hard to be our starting quarterback,” said Trinity head football coach Bob Beatty. “And when things weren’t going his way, he did nothing but work harder. He didn’t complain or pout. He just continued to get better. He’s a true example of what a champion should be, and that is why he is our state championship quarterback. This work ethic will follow him to Butler and for the rest of his life!”

Ryan Young has also admirably served the Trinity High School community this year in his role as president of the Class of 2015.

The signing ceremony will be held place in Trinity’s Alumni Hall, which is located at 4011 Shelbyville Road in St. Matthews. Members of the coaching staff and the signee’s parents will attend. Parking is available along Alumni Hall on Sherrin Avenue or in the adjacent lots.

NOTE: Please arrive by 2:30 p.m. to avoid student traffic before dismissal.

Founded in 1953, Trinity is an all-male Catholic high school with 1,240 students and more than 14,700 alumni. Its mission is to provide students with a superior high school education in a supportive atmosphere based upon Christian values in the Catholic tradition.

Ryan is a fine young man. He has also served as the student member of the Trinity School Board. As such he is a full voting member of the school's governing board.

Ryan is a 100% class act, the kind of young man that parents want their sons to be.

Would you tell us all more about the governing board? That sounds interesting.

Trinity is governed by a board that makes major policy decisions, sets budgets etc. One of the members of that board is the senior class president.
