Congrats to Trinity! Glad my Tigers didn’t fold at halftime. Hopefully build off this for next year.

Competitive game. Two things X has to do to close the gap: pass defense must improve. Whether it’s mixing up coverage of LBer pass drops, it’s just not where it should during this era of football. Secondly, pass offense. T’s front 7 is good, but back half isn’t good enough to man a team up most of the game unless they aren’t scared of your passing game, which T isn’t of X’s.

So if I’m Wolford I’m focusing my offseason on getting an effective passing game that causes T problems, because that’s who he has to beat to win a state championship.

Overall, good season for X nothing to hand their heads about.

What ever college get #38 for T is getting a steal. He’s going to be a very good player in the future.

X has too much pride to ever quit. They will claw and scratch to the very end.
Trinity’s defense came up big when they needed to. X squandered too many scoring opportunities in the red zone.

Trinity now has an eight game lead in the overall series. The X coach now 1-8 against Trinity.

I hope coach Wolford stays head coach at Saint Xavier for the next 20 years.
He would not be interviewed after the game. Must be a very bitter pill to swallow.
