    The new SouthCentral KY District

This new proposed district is insane:

    Class 5A District 2

    * District Two – Bowling Green, Christian County, Greenwood, South Warren.

You know who doesn't like it one bit? Greenwood. YIKES.

Greenwood is a combined 1-36 against those three teams. Their only win was against South Warren, who they have otherwise lost to by 31 points or more in their other four meetings. They've never been within single digits of Christian County, who they've lost to five times. They've been within single digits of Bowling Green twice in their 27 losses to the Purples, and the last of those was 14 years ago.

I'm sure Chrisitan County isn't happy either. Didn't they recently drop Bowling Green from their regular season schedule? Now they must play them and south warren? Wow! Possibly a perennial third seed with BG and WS fighting it out for 1 and 2.

Does this make the search for Greenwood's head football coach more difficult?

They're probably not, but the future is brighter for them than Greenwood for certain. I don't know what Christian County's future looks like, but they've had teams in the recent past that could compete with both Bowling Green and South Warren. They led South Warren in the third quarter last year and that was a 10-6 game entering the 4th.

But even if that were the case that they were going to be permanently behind both of them, the only difference between them in District 1 and being in District 2 is that they would host two playoff games rather than play two on the road (assuming they won the district). They'd still be going out in the second round to one of the two.

Imagine being the two seed in a district and having Christian County, South Warren or BG coming to town in the first round.

THAT would be something. The only team that might get a breather would be the one seed. In that district, every game could be a battle.

I’m really surprised that Greenwood didn’t petition to play up in 6A. There was no way, shape or form that staying 5A was going to end up being better for them.

I mean I am really surprised they didn’t.
