I thought this was a St. X vs Warren Central thread. Trinity should should worry about Henry Clay instead of trying to take over the St. X vs Warren Central thread. Must be some type of complex.

By the way, I predict another close game against WC with the Tigers pulling it out in the 2nd half.

Other than Manual (in which the Rams snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by squandering a 10 point 4th quarter lead), has Trinity beaten any teams of consequence this year? I'm looking at their schedule and thinking, "no". See if you can, with a straight face, name one Trinity-defeated east-side opponent that could beat Manual, John Hardin, PRP, or Male.

Well we all have opinions. Good luck down in Bowling Green, at least heat delays won't be a factor.

I think you're dead on on all points. One thing is, I thought Mattingly was pretty effective on the ground, but neither of them was able to break off a big play like in most games. Victor ran the ball incredibly hard and very well.

BTW, this game should have been over without the drama because Mattingly picked up a first down on 2nd and 9, but a mystery spot kept them a yard shy, which led to the false start, etc.

Props to John Hardin's QB - that kid can play.

This sets up Victor A. who isn't an every down back. Victor is AMAZING, but when Mattingly is "on", the game is St.X's to control (Trinity, second half of FC, Second Manual game).

Long pass plays (like - PRP, Lex Cath, Male, John Hardin, FC). All of the teams that put up long pass plays have a great QB that can move around when pressured and make something happen. Manual had a great QB but IMO not one that hurt St.X with the pass, especially when scrambling. Trinity's QB is also a great one but not as capable with this as some of the others ST. X has faced. It's hard to cover a good receiver for this long, in these situations. The schools above also had very athletic receivers. Some of it is coverage errors and some the D line pressure but more I believe the athletic ability and poise of the other teams QB. This keeps the games close.

Anyone see this also? How does W. C. stack upto these possible keys?

The advantages clearly favor the Warren Central team playing at home and possible at WKU, officials from out in the state, longer travel for X, etc. WC should be able to go toe to toe and blow for blow with X. Manual has played WC in BG two time in the past three seasons and once in Louisville. The two games in BG were barn burners. I will have to plan on the trip to BG next week.

What does this even mean? In some sense, yes, they "could have" beaten St. X. But X won both games, and in reality they were in control of both easily until weird things happened at the end of each.

That post makes no sense. X beat both Male and John Hardin?

X wins this one fairly easy I believe, I saw WC play earlier and while they are a solid team their lines are not nearly strong enough to compete with X. The only shot they have is if their LB's(very fast and strong) can contain the X backs. But that is a tough thing to do.

Not that this has anything to do with this thread. But our secondary is our best asset, and you have no idea, I don't agree with much that RH says, but don't play his game and show the same colors. That's tackless...

Actually the general feeling is that the Rocks would like another crack at the Tigers. Sounds crazy I know, but I will be happy to watch the Rocks play anyone in December. Once the game starts, well who knows.

FYI, a Trinity/WC matchup wouldn't break my heart.

You would do best to stick to you pebble threads, at least until such time as the actions of your team (two brooms in a row are now in the closet) can support your braggadocious style. At this time of year it is best to "walk softly and carry a big stick." Somehow, I'm not feeling that L-O-V-E for which you constantly seem to be searching.
