    Sayre - 2019 Schedule

Aug 16 vs. Jackson County (Scrimmage)
    Aug 30 at Bethlehem
Sep 6 vs. Rock Creek Academy (IN)
Sep 16 vs. Grant County JV
    Sep 27 at Berea
    Oct 4 at Fort Knox
    Oct 11 vs. Carroll County
    Oct 25 at Bishop Brossart
    Nov 1 vs. Pineville

Sayre is in the process of rebuilding their football program, which was disbanded after the 1970 season, and was resurrected last season with former NFL quarterback Chad Pennington as Head Coach/Director Of Football. The Spartans were 3-5 last season, with a schedule that included 4 varsity opponents, 2 JV opponents, and 2 grade 8-10 opponents.

It doesn't matter but I think Sayre only played two varsity games last year: a loss to Rock Creek (IN) and a win against Jenkins at Kentucky Christian University's field.

I pulled what I had from Sayre's website. I didn't verify anything back with other teaams' schedules, so Woodford and Taylor County may have been something other than varsity.

Yeah, those two weren't varsity. Either way, though, I'm really glad Sayre has restarted their program. Anxious to see how it goes for them.

Rock Creek is right down the street from me, and I never knew they had football.
As for Sayre, it's nice to see these kids get a chance to play football.
