Mark "Bo" Pelini was born 6 weeks premature. He designed a blitz to help him escape from his mother's uterus early.

Newport loses a lot of key players to graduation this year. We will be doing a little rebuilding next year.

Well, good lord willing, I won't have to worry about listening too them this week because I hope to be there in person plus I'm not one of those fans to watch and then listen to the game on headsets. But dress warm again, because the long range weather guy says the high will only get to 35 and their is a possibility of snow and the lows in the 20's. Crank up the hot chocolate and toastie toes.

I would think so, I thought I heard they return quite a bit from this years team. Is that right?

I believe Mercer Co returns their entire backfield and 2 or 3 lineman. They should be tough.

Back to the Russell/Newport game. I did not get to go, but it sounded like both teams had chances to put the game away. But big plays by the star players for each team kept it tight. The fourth quarter must have had everybody in the stadium dizzy from watching the momentum swing back and forth.

They must have painted Newports field sometime Friday afternoon. I'm trying to get all the red paint out of my sons jersey now.
