    Okay ...here's the simple math:

    7 of 48 Privates - 14.5% remain in playoffs
    25 of 234 Publics - 10.7% remain in playoffs

Not a huge difference in overall %'es is it?

No, he means 7 of the 48 total private schools.

These figures are hard to interpret, since not all schools have football.

    Your corection isnt exactly right...

Although your statement of the % of remaining teams is correct.

I was simply calculating the % of total of each category that remain - so I think what I was calculating is still correct - although it may not be meaningful.

7 out of the 48 private schools in KY remain = 14.5%

What you are stating is 7 of the remaing 32 teams are private = 21.8% -

    By my count ...

    Class A ... 51 schools, 6 are private (12 percent) ... 2 of the final 8 (25 percent) are private

    Class 2A ... 52 schools, 3 are private (6 percent) ... 2 of the final 8 (25 percent) are private

    Class 3A ... 54 schools, 2 are private (4 percent) ... 1 of the final 8 (12.5 percent) is private

    Class 4A ... 54 schools, 2 are private (4 percent) ... 2 of the final 8 (25 percent) are private

    Overall ... 211 schools, 13 are private (6 percent) ... 7 of the final 32 (22 percent) are private

    There are 2 in 4A. X and T. That makes it 21.8% overall, and 25% for 4A.

Oops ... I was thinking about Male getting beat.

You know, all of that "Big 3" stuff.

    It's been corrected.

Which 4A school did you forget, west? Was it St. X. or trinity? The last time I looked BOTH of them were still in the title chase.
